Linux

In the last blog you must have got an idea about what is an OS’s and what are its types. Mainly there is only three OS; Windows, Linux, and Apple (Mac OS or iOS). In this blog we will dive deep into the working of Linux and its different distributaries. We would not be discussing the history of Linux, but here’s a link of Wikipedia you can click on it and you will be directed to Wikipedia’s site, you will get all the required information on the history of Linux on the site. In this blog of Linux, we will be covering mainly 3 topics:

1] Its use and advantages over other OS

2] Why Linux OS is preferred by hackers

3] Its installation process.

1] Its uses and advantages over other OS

First, we will see its uses. Basically, when we use Linux OS, we operate the system more with the command line than operating it graphically. The major difference between the command line and operating graphically is that in the command line we use commands to communicate with the system that is we majorly use the keyboard and in the graphical method we majorly use the mouse. Linux is used to perform various hacking skills and it is used by both black hat hackers as well as white hat hackers. White hat hackers are those hackers who have authorized permissions to gain access to the system. Whereas, black hat hackers are those hackers who don’t have authorized permissions to gain access to the system and they hack for their own need(greed). White hat hackers are also known as ethical hackers. Now what are the advantages of Linux over other OS’s, it depends on the need of the user if the user wants to perform hacking then Linux is preferred coz it provides various tools and a proper command line which is very useful. If you are a programmer or developer, etc. then it’s not necessary to use Linux, you can if you want but it’s not gonna provide any special help or tool for it.

2] Why Linux OS is preferred by hackers?

As you know Linux is popular among hackers, hackers prefer Linux over other OS because Linux gives them command line and inbuilt tools which are used for hacking.
